Livingston County's 2025 Recycling Events: Clear Your Clutter, Protect the Planet

Livingston County residents, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and join the effort to keep our community clean, safe, and sustainable! The 2025 Solid Waste Program is packed with opportunities to responsibly dispose of hazardous waste, electronics, scrap tires, and even latex paint—keeping harmful materials out of landfills and protecting our environment.

Here’s what’s coming up:

🧪 Household Hazardous Waste Collections

Available to county residents only (no businesses), these events require an appointment due to limited space.

Upcoming dates:

  • Saturday, July 19, 2025

  • Saturday, September 13, 2025

Accepted items include household chemicals, cleaners, automotive fluids, and batteries—visit milivcounty.gov/dpw to register and review the full list of acceptable materials.

🎨 Latex Paint Recycling – One Day Only!

Don’t let old paint pile up—bring it in!

Wednesday, June 25, 2025 | 4–8 p.m.

Fees apply per can, and only cash or check is accepted. No oil-based or flammable products.

Registration is required online.  https://milivcounty.gov/dpw/

🖥️ E-Waste Collection – No Appointment Needed!

Clear out old computers, monitors, TVs, printers, and more.

Friday, August 16, 2025 | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Livingston County Road Commission, 3535 Grand Oaks Drive, Howell

🚗 Scrap Tire Recycling – Coming Soon!  Pending Grant Approval.

Date to be announced—watch for updates!

Open to residents only, no businesses. Passenger and light truck tires accepted with pre-registration.
