Fowlerville is a small village located in Livingston County, Michigan. The village has approximately five neighborhoods and is the 294th largest community in the state. It is a semi-ethnically and racially diverse community. Common ancestries among residence include Polish, Scottish, German and others. English is the primary language within the village though some residents also speak Spanish. It has a mixed workforce and job market made up of white and blue collar workers and employment opportunities. It is a cozy village, and as such it has no public transportation system. The first permanent settler to the area was Ralph Fowler, for which the community is named. The first post office, under the name Cedar, was established in 1838. However, Amos Adams platted the village, under the name Fowlerville in 1849. The community was officially renamed by its original name, Fowerville, in 1853. One of Fowlervilles best known residents was Baseball Hall of Famer, Charlie Gehrenger. Though it has remained small, in 2010 it had a population of 2,886 and today the city spans approximately 2.38 square miles.

Fowlerville is a lower-middle income community when compared to state and national economic standards. In 2013, the median household income was $43,973 and the estimated per capita income was $19,641. In the same year, the mean housing price on all housing units was approximately $199,749 and the median gross rent was $734. Public education in the village is provided by the Fowlerville Community School District. Local public schools include Fowlerville High School, Natalie Kreeger  Elementary School and others. Fowlerville is also home to Fowlerville Christian, a wonderful private school for students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Fowlerville is home to the Livingston County Fair Grounds and annually hosts the Livingston County Fair. Other annual events include Christmas in the Village, the Fowlerville Fair and so much more.
